Dodechi

Dodechi is my own publishing imprint. It exists so that I can publish what I want to write, at the pace it is actually ready, without asking anyone's permission first.

Why run an imprint

The honest answer is control and speed, which are the same two reasons I give for most of the decisions I make in business. Traditional publishing is good at a lot of things, but it is slow, and the terms rarely favour a first time author writing for a narrow audience.

Setting up an imprint means I decide what gets written, how it is edited, when it ships and what it costs. It also means every mistake in the finished product is mine, which I think is the correct trade.

Noah's Sandcastle

Children's picture book

A children's book, and about as far from my professional work as it is possible to get. It has nothing to do with financial markets and I am not going to pretend otherwise. It was the first thing Dodechi published and I am fond of it.

Forthcoming

Untitled, on the retail trading industry

Title and publication date to be announced

A book about how retail brokerages actually work, drawn from twenty five years around financial markets and time running operations inside two of them.
